This is The Fashion Booth’s shoulder pad story.
“We are very proud of our shoulder pad. Designed and made in Roxburgh New Zealand using raw wool fibres from Ettrick, Central Otago.
The ethos of The Fashion Booth is to only work with 100% natural fibres and fabrics which are both ethical and sustainable. When it become apparent there was no options available for a shoulder pad to meet these requirements, we had to take matters into our own hands!
After months of searching and endless phone calls to global distributors it was clear that no company distributed or was even aware of anyone who could provide a natural fibre shoulder pad. Refusing to compromise, the only option was to develop and make our own.
We stand by our shoulder pads to maintain their shape and to never break down like the synthetic foam we have all come to know. Our wool shoulder pads mould beautifully to the shape of the wearer and don’t retain moisture or odour. This makes them ideal for bespoke clothing that is designed to be handed down the generations.
